Jerusalem American School (JAS) is currently looking for volunteers to start within its volunteering program. JAS recognizes that when matched with a suitable volunteer either as a mentor or in another regular volunteering capacity who can give the student the gift of time and attention, students are more likely to make an extra effort to go to school and engage in their education, which sees them build resilience to be able to cope with the challenges life throws at them. Our services are designed to improve student’s literacy, life skills, self-esteem and self-confidence which contribute to improving learning outcomes and improved student achievements. This is coupled with improvements to volunteer health and wellbeing benefits.
