Welcome to the Oxford Public Library's Middle Earth Escape Room! Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a surge of new online options based on many favorite in-person activities, including the escape room.

We present to you a safe and fun game based on Tolkien's beloved Middle Earth.

The story and clues were written by our Children's Librarian, Ms. Beth. The riddle used in section 14 comes from Chapter 5 of The Hobbit, written by J.R.R. Tolkien. All images are sourced from Google or Bing Images, the public domain, or were created by Ms. Beth using Canva. Each picture has a source cited. To view, simply hover your mouse over the picture.
