Winter Sport is a fantastic opportunity for our tamariki to engage in regular team sport. Teams practise together once a week during lunch times and play a competitive game against another school each Friday afternoon. Winter sport is offered as an optional activity with children not participating involved in an alternative sports programme back at school.

We are seeking coaches and team managers for football, netball, hockey and rugby for Year 5/6 and 7/8 teams.

Coaches run weekly practices with their team, referee half a game each week and supervise the children during their game.

Team Managers supervise the team during their game and referee half the game (training can be given).

Rugby is the only sport that we require an experienced coach for. If you wish to coach rugby, you must have attended training through Sport Canterbury this year. We can help you organise this.
