RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES AS A DOG OWNER

How much do you think it will cost to care for your dog each year?

(Please consider the cost of food, grooming, training and veterinary care.)

*

FEEDING NEEDS: At our shelter, we feed our dogs cooked boneless chicken added to dry food. Chicken Cost $25 per bag - Dry food $400. Alternatively you can add cooked vegetables/can food/rice. A dog looks forward to a delicious meal. Dry food alone for every meal is not so inviting…

MEDICAL CARE NEEDS: Monthly: Frontline Tick Protection | 7-8 months: Preventative tick collar | 1 year: Lepto vaccination, Proheart injection | 3 years: Rabies injection & Dhppi vaccination

How will you handle problems, such as, chewing, barking, jumping and house soiling?

*

How often would you walk the dog, where, and how long for?

*

Are you willing to take the dog for training if needed?

*

Are you willing to be patient and give the dog at least 2 months to adjust to your family and environment?

*

For which of the following reasons would you give up on your dog?

*
Required
For previous question, if you have selected a reason to give up on your dog
