The School Support and Improvement (SSI) Unit within the Arizona Department of Education, in partnership with Project AWARE, is proud to offer Youth Mental Health First Aid learning sessions FREE OF COST in Summer 2022 and School Year 2022-2023.
Any personnel from a local education agency (LEA) who engages with students ages 12-18 or grades six (6) through 12 must receive suicide prevention training at least once every three (3) years, per ARS 15-120, also known as the Mitch Warnock Act. This opportunity is completely FREE for educators in the state.
