Calling all volunteers:

Friends of Roxhill is your school PTO. We are parents, community members, and teachers who work together to support our school.

There are many ways to get involved at Roxhill. We hope that you will consider joining a committee or volunteering with us in whatever way works for you. Please fill out our Volunteer Interest Survey to see what opportunities might be a good fit for you. We can then connect you with the right people! We understand that availability may change throughout the year.

Some volunteer opportunities (such as field trip chaperones) will require that you fill out a volunteer application through SPS. Now would be a good time to apply or check your status as a returning volunteer here.

Events Committee - Help with planning after school events throughout the year.

Garden Committee - Help renovate and maintain our learning garden or join work parties and classroom visits to the garden.

I can help in the garden on weekends.

I can help in the garden during the school day.

Fundraising Committee - Plan fundraisers and partnerships to raise money for our school.

Communications Committee- Help with updates to website, facebook page, designing flyers and newsletters.

Yearbook Committee - Help with the photography and/or design of the 2023-2024 yearbook.

Family Meetups - Make coffee and/or pick up snacks for monthly family park meetup (4th Saturday of the month).

Office help- Help administrators with projects in the office or that can be worked on at home. Photocopying, cutting, hole punching, etc.

Board members: Attend monthly meetings and vote on proposals and changes within our non-profit organization. Our board should be representative of the races, ethnicities, languages and abilities of Roxhill students.

BILINGUAL FAMILIES: One of our biggest goals is to break down language barriers between families. We hire interpreters for our meetings, but could use some help with written translation and/or facilitating conversations with families who do not speak English. Please check all that apply if you are able to help with interpretation:

SPS Volunteer application:

All volunteer opportunities that take place on school grounds or field trips will require you to fill out a volunteer application through SPS. Applications take approximately 2 weeks to process and include a background check and a 17 minute Adult Sexual Misconduct Prevention Training.
