Introduction: You are invited to participate in this research study titled The Relationship between Mindfulness and Overconfidence. The research is being conducting by Mariam Mohammed, a senior student at Zayed University, under the supervision of Dr. Mariana Coutinho, to fulfill part of the requirements of the Senior Project.
مقدمة: أنت مدعو للمشاركة في هذه الدراسة البحثية بعنوان العلاقة بين اليقظة والإفراط في الثقة. يجري البحث من قبل مريم محمد، طالبة في جامعة زايد، تحت إشراف الدكتورة ماريانا كوتينيو، لإكمال جزء من متطلبات مشروع التخرج.
Purpose of the study: The purpose of the study is to learn the relationship between mindfulness and overconfidence.
الغرض من الدراسة: الغرض من الدراسة هو معرفة العلاقة بين اليقظة والإفراط في الثقة.
What will I be asked to do if I agree to take part in this study? If you decide to participate, you will be asked to fill out an online survey with three sections. First is demographic information such as gender, age, and nationality. Second is the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS). Last is a reasoning test taken from the Wechsler’s
Abbreviated Scale of intelligence.
ماذا سيتطلب مني أن أفعل إذا وافقت على المشاركة في هذه الدراسة؟ إذا قررت المشاركة، فسيُطلب منك ملء استبيان عبر الإنترنت من ثلاثة أقسام. الأول هو المعلومات الديموغرافية مثل الجنس والعمر والجنسية. الثاني هو مقياس الوعي الانتباه اليقظ (MAAS). الأخير هو اختبار تفكير مأخوذ من مقياس ذكاء ويكسلير المختصر.
What is the time required for participation? The time required for the study is about 10 to 15 minutes from your time.
ما هو الوقت المتطلب لإكمال الاستبيان؟ الوقت المطلوب لإكمال الاستبيان هو حوالي 10 إلى 15 دقيقة.
Confidentiality: Your participation and answers in the current study are completely anonymous. You will not be asked to give your personal information.

What possible risks or discomforts can I expect from taking part in this study? There are no potential risks of the
current study, but if you feel uncomfortable, you can withdraw from the study at any time.
