Adapted from Fey's hit 2004 film, Mean Girls was nominated for a staggering 12 Tony Awards. Now with the newest 2024 film in theatres, this musical comedy is sure to appeal to our older youth performers who are drawn to modern themes and catchy dance numbers. As we work towards a final show, we will touch on the themes of social power and bullying and promote inclusivity, being yourself and positive change.

A NOTE ABOUT MAIN ROLE PROGRAM
Performers ages 12-17 will participate in our community musical theatre production program in preparation for a full scale production. Every participant will have a role or be featured in some way in the final presentation regardless of previous experience. You do not need to audition to be in this program. We will determine production roles based on class assessments and role auditions in the fall. Students will be assigned to groups based on their age and skill level.
Participants registered for our Youth Performance Troupe (Mean Girls High School Edition) will have the opportunity to audition for a lead role. If cast in a lead role, they will be required to attend our Main Roles Program for extra vocal coaching, acting and dance classes outside of the scheduled program time at an additional charge (see below for additional information).
Please note that all participants will be featured in the final production. Taking on the responsibility for a lead role is not required and will not take away from participants receiving quality instruction over the course of the year.
Extra rehearsals, coaching and workshops will be required in addition to regular Performance Troupe rehearsals and commitments.
Main Role Program Rehearsals (beginning November 4): Mondays 6:30-7:30pm
Main Role Program Additional Investment: $300.00+HST for additional classes and coaching outside of regular program.
