The Self-Care Fair will be held on
Friday, October 6, 2023 from 12:00 - 3:00pm on the McKeldin Mall.
The 7th annual Self-Care Fair is a part of Mental Health Awareness Week, planned by the campus Mental Health Coalition. The Fair is an interactive, collaborative event that strives to educate the campus community about mental health and self-care strategies for emotional wellbeing. Campus departments, student organizations, and community partners come together to focus on wellness and self-care, as well as reducing stigma and barriers associated with mental illness and mental health treatment.
We especially invite clubs/orgs from traditionally-marginalized identity groups and communities that struggle against strong stigma. It is important that every member of our community sees themselves reflected by those who are open about mental health and can find support within their own communities. You do not have to be a mental health-focused organization, just one that cares about this important issue and wants to focus on it for this event.
Please complete this form if your organization, department, or business would like to have a table at the 7th annual interactive Self-Care Fair, taking place Friday, October 6, 12:00pm - 3:00pm on the McKeldin Mall.
We request that each organization provide both resources/information about mental health or self-care and some type of engaging activity (i.e. trivia, crafts, contests, demonstrations, etc.)
As always, the Fair is only one event in a robust Mental Health Awareness Week slate of programs. Keep an eye out for the full week's calendar.
