The visual arts community can be a supportive and inclusive environment. Anecdotally, the arts as a community, over other communities and industries, makes a visible effort to be inclusive of those with diverse lived experiences. This survey seeks to understand if this purported inclusive intent and signaling flows down to have real and material impacts on Autistic artists.
or are we still experiencing barriers to actively participating in the arts.
For those of us who are flourishing in this industry and being given regular exhibiting opportunities and paid arts opportunities. I'd love you to share what has worked for you, where you have felt included and how you have found success.
For those of us who are struggling in this industry and feel excluded, this research aims to quantify why.
This survey should take 10-15mins depending on how detailed your responses are.
