Welcome to the Leeds Young Film Festival's SHORT FILM JURY for 2021! As you are the selected VIP film-watchers for this year's competition, we're going to give you all the info you need to be the sharpest film critic.

Secret Agent, your time has come. We need YOUR skills and opinion to select the Winning Short Film of the Leeds Young Film Festival. Your mission is TOP SECRET, so we'll be sharing some classified links to films which you can access with your own special password. Are you ready, Agent?

QUESTION: So... what are we doing?

Answer: Your mission is to watch the films in competition for the Leeds Young Film Festival, and select the WINNING short film from each package, live action and animation, for the Festival. You and your fellow Agents will be watching a selection of the films in the SHORT FILM programme.

QUESTION: Okay. How do we watch them?

Answer: Both Short Film packages will be available for FREE on the Leeds Film Player!

QUESTION: Ace! How do I choose the winner?

Answer: We want YOUR opinion, that's why we selected you, Agent! There is no right or wrong answer, we just want to hear what you think. Some things to consider is what makes a good film: is it the STORY, the CHARACTERS, the MUSIC or SOUND? Maybe it's the ACTING or CAMERA SHOTS you like. When you're watching the films, feel free to write notes, draw your thoughts or vlog your review. When you've watched them all, you come back here to vote for the winners from BOTH packages.

QUESTION: When do I watch and vote for them?

Answer: Your mission is active from Monday 12 April, with the links expiring Sunday 25 April. You will then have to send your response here below by Friday 30 April.
