Instant Portrait with Jeffrey Lim, Kanta Portraits
Learn to shoot & print with large-format cameras & traditional darkroom printing

Learn how to operate large-format cameras, box cameras and basic darkroom printing skills to produce instant prints on black and white silver gelatin photo papers. Take home your own instant handmade portrait prints. Workshop will be conducted in English with the inclusion of Bahasa as well if needed. All materials and equipment provided, photography novice to advanced levels are welcomed. Workshop environment will be conducted according to SOP requirements.

Making the instant print- concise workshop series

1. Participant name *

Each participant must complete their own individual form.

2. Age group *

participating child below the age of 12 must be accompanied by a participating guardian.

3. Photography knowledge level *

Pairing the large format cameras with your level of photography knowledge

Noob- What is photography knowledge level?

Novice- point & shoot, phone photographer

Intermediate- operates camera device in program mode

Intermediate advance- changes some settings on the camera

Advance- knows how to operate a large-format

4. SOP requirement *

Only fully vaccinated individuals are allowed to participate. please ensure all boxes are checked in order to proceed (except the last one).

Fully vaccinated and completed incubation period

Not exhibiting any symptoms linked to COVID-19

Not been in close contact with any confirmed COVID-19 positive cases in the past 14 days

Not attended an event(s) / area(s) associated with known COVID-19 cluster

Conflicting answer(s) to any of the above, must provide a Salixium COVID-19 Home Self Test Rapid Antigen Kit (RTK) three days before workshop

5. Notes (requirements)

If you like to add a note, e.g. health & accessibility preparations, visual impairments, language, couple registration, etc. I try to be as inclusive as possible and open the workshop to all who are interested to learn and experience. The darkroom will almost be completely dark, a headlamp will be provided to those who would have disorientation issues.

6. Workshop dates *

The workshop is only scheduled for 20th November from 10am to 1pm, and only for 6 pax maximum. Here are other options for workshop sessions if we reach maximum capacity, please indicate slots you would be available for.

An email will be sent to you shortly with the payment details for the fee required. It is RM185.00 per participant, fee is payable via bank transfer or duitnow QR code. All materials and equipment will be provided. Only fully paid fee will have a confirmed spot, if by circumstance there is an over capacity of participants, another session will be allocated to you and an immediate notification given. If you are unable to attend, you will be given a full refund within the next 7 days. Thank you for your participation!
