Speaker Biography

Douglas Edley is a Partner at United Talent Agency in the Comedy Touring Department. Based in Beverly Hills, he represents top comedic talent worldwide handling their touring and specials among all other aspects of their career.  Having been at UTA for over 12 years, his clients include Ali Wong (“Beef,” & multiple Netflix Specials), Bo Burnham (multiple Netflix specials including “Inside” and the film “Eighth Grade”), Vir Das (1st comedian to win an International Emmy in the Best Comedy category and multiple Netflix specials), Phil Rosenthal (8 seasons of “Somebody Feed Phil” & touring worldwide), Sheng Wang (Netflix special & national theater tour) Tom Papa (multiple Netflix specials & national theater tour), Paul Reiser (recently filmed his 1st comedy special in over 30 years). Additional clients include John Leguizamo, Justin Willman, Ryan Hamilton, Rickey Smiley, Aaron Chen and Lil Duval.

Edley was included in Variety’s 2022 & 2024 Comedy Impact Report which showcases the most impactful voices of comedy over that past year.  This report includes industry leaders including agents, managers, producers, writers and top tier talent.  

Originally from Pennsylvania, Edley started his career at The Gersh Agency where he spent 16 years. He graduated from Boston University and New York Law School.
