Credit for Entrepreneurs 

Credit for Entrepreneurs is a can't-miss workshop for any business owner who wants to understand more about building and accessing credit. Led by an experienced financial counselor, this sessions explains:

  • Why personal credit history is important when you're starting or growing a business
  • How to strengthen your personal credit score
  • What business credit scores are used for, and how to establish one
  • Where to get financing for your business
  • What you need to know before you apply for a business loan
When: May 22nd, from 4:30 - 6:30 PM
Where: This event is being offered HYBRID. You will be able to choose to attend via Zoom or in-person at the WISE Women's Business Center, located on the first floor at 100 Madison St, Syracuse, NY 13202 (in the Equitable Towers Lobby, formerly known as the AXA towers, and before that the Mony Towers).
Cost: This event is free to register and attend.

About the instructor: Thomas Dellwo is a Certified Financial Counselor who has more than 15 years of expertise helping people overcome barriers and reach their goals. As a counselor for Cooperative Federal and the Syracuse Financial Empowerment Center, Thom specializes in assisting diverse people and communities with credit, debit, banking, financial management, entrepreneurship and homeownership. He holds multiple professional certifications from US HUD, NeighborWorks, the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund, and the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), and earned a BA in Secondary Education from SUNY Oswego.
