Looking for a place to volunteer? Always wanted to run a cash register? Join Ten Thousand Villages in downtown Goshen in putting people and planet first with their products. We need your help to help stop poverty in developing countries.
As the fair trade pioneer, we believe market-based solutions can end the cycle of poverty. We sell goods to do good. Ten Thousand Villages has been working with artisans in developing countries by selling their handicrafts since our founding in 1946.
Our store relies on volunteers like you to keep costs down, so more of our resources can directly support artisans. Most of our volunteers work with customers in the store to find gifts or practical items for their homes, though there are limited opportunities for volunteering in other capacities. The minimum requirement is working two 3-hour shifts per month, but most volunteers find working a regular shift each week (with the option to find a substitute for any shifts they would be unavailable) makes it easier to stay familiar with the store and its routines.
