The purpose of the Wethersfield Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame is to honor and recognize men and women athletes, teams, coaches and supporters who have demonstrated prowess in the field of athletics and in their support of Wethersfield High School.

The WAAHOF Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2020 Induction Class through Friday, November 1, 2019.  

Nominees must exemplify the highest standards of sportsmanship, ethical conduct and moral character. A person can qualify for the Athletic Hall of Fame under one or more of the following categories:

1. Athlete - A Wethersfield High School graduate who participated in Wethersfield High School athletics for a minimum of two years and earned a letter in a particular sport or sports. In addition, received "All-Conference/All-State/All-New England/ Honors” if the recognition was available at that time OR a Wethersfield High School graduate who participated in Wethersfield High School athletics and competed in college athletics or has attained a profession in athletics. The athlete must have been out of Wethersfield High School for a minimum of ten (10) years to be entered in the Hall, however nominations can be sent at any time.  Please note that the committee reserves the right, if desired, to place more emphasis on an athlete's accomplishments during his/her time as a student at Wethersfield High School than his/her collegiate or professional accomplishments.

2. Coach - Coaches at Wethersfield High School,  with a minimum seven (7) years of service to the Wethersfield High School Athletic Department and Wethersfield High School community, who have been out of their position for at least five years.
 
3. Team - A Wethersfield High School team which has won a state title, attained record status or New England/ National recognition and competed a minimum of (10) years prior.
 
4. Contributor- Those who have provided meritorious service or served as a loyal friend to the athletic program.
