BET in FLO Program Application
BET in FLO (Buffalo Eastside Teens in Frederick Law Olmsted Parks) is recruiting 20 high school students from Buffalo, New York's east side for a 3-day, 2-night "Olmstedian Outdoor Experience" on July 13-15, 2025.
  • Students will experience a 2-night stay at the Richardson Olmsted Campus, a 42-acre site National Historic Landmark, and learn about Buffalo's history with Frederick Law Olmsted.
  • Students will be visit multiple greenspaces in the Buffalo Olmsted Park System to foster outdoor diversity and inclusivity, encourage nature belongingness and restoration, and advance planetary stewardship.
  • Students will participate in nature surveys and focus group discussions, the development of a park rating system, and the restoration of Riverside Park and will receive volunteer credit for school.

ELIGIBILITY: Teens between the ages of 14-17 years living on Buffalo's East Side
