Friends of Hackmatack NWR Spring Gathering: 7-8:45 pm, Tuesday, March 14
We''ll celebrate the return of Spring by learning all about our region's bats.
Dr. Joy O’Keefe, Wildlife Extension Specialist at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign will kick off the program with an update on bats of the Midwest and the Midwest Bat Hub volunteer bat monitoring program (more about the Bat Hub at

).
Then FOHNWR board member Maggie Zoellner will tell about the bat monitoring effort she's been leading at Hackmatack NWR's Turner Tract in Genoa City, Wisconsin.
