Session 4: Listening with Accountability

Tuesday, March 28th, 5:30-7:30pm @ Thornhill Cafeteria

Objective: To build a healthy, mediated communication forum that centers the voices of parents of Black students.

Agenda:

1. Whole group: Main Presentation: How to Listen with Accountability

- How to center Black voices

- What is resistance gaslighting

- What does accountability look like

2. Solidarity groups: Solidarity groups unpack and process the information provided by the Black spaces. Then come up with a response that models listening and accountability. Then create commitments.

- Black folks unpack their experiences sharing their voices and

center Black joy moments

3. Whole group: Consultants facilitate a collective next step/commitment
