Applications are due by Friday, February 12th at 3:00 p.m.

Please list your courses and grades below from your most recent semester transcript.  Only sophomore, junior, and senior grades qualify.  If you were a CJSF member at your middle school you can apply as a Freshman.  YOU MUST APPLY EACH SEMESTER.  If you neglect to apply, retroactive membership is not possible. Dues are $5 per semester. You do not need to pay dues until you have been approved for membership.  Transcripts will be checked after you have submitted this form.  An email will go out the week of February 15th regarding payment of dues.

CSF Membership

1. You must earn a minimum of 10 points from last semester’s grades.
a. The first 4 points must be earned from LIST I (unless you are a senior applying for membership in January or June).  List of Courses are also available on the El Camino Website
b. The first 7 points (including the 4 points described above) must be earned from LISTS I and II.
c. The remaining points may be earned from any LIST (I, II, or III).
2. No more than 5 courses are used to qualify.
3. No CSF points are awarded for P.E. courses, courses repeated to improve a grade, summer school courses, T.A. courses, and courses taken on a pass/fail basis.
4. CSF points are granted as follows: a grade of A = 3 CSF points, and a grade of B = 1 CSF point.  One additional point will be awarded for a grade of A or B in an AP or Honors course up to a MAXIMUM OF TWO such points per semester. A grade of C = 0 CSF points.  An academic grade of D or F in any course or a citizenship grade of C or lower in any course—even a course you do not use to qualify—DISQUALIFIES YOU FROM CSF MEMBERSHIP.
5. To be honored as a Sealbearer, you must be a CSF member for four semesters—one of which must be in your senior year. Sealbearers will be recognized at the graduation ceremony.
