UCSD Physics Fee Waiver Request
Thank you for your interest in our graduate program. There are a couple of ways to apply for an application fee waiver. You can apply for one through the application through our Graduate central office or apply for one through our department (limited).

If you believe you are eligible for a fee waiver through our university's Graduate Division (https://grad.ucsd.edu/admissions/requirements/application-fee-and-fee-waiver/index.html), then please follow the steps to request a fee waiver through them. 

If not, please follow the steps below to be considered for a fee waiver by our department. Please note that fee waivers through our department are very limited.
  • Please fill out the application as much as you can (https://connect.grad.ucsd.edu/apply/).
  • Do not submit, pay, nor enter any payment information
  • Fill out this form below (you'll need your reference number from your graduate application)
  • The deadline to be considered for one of the department's application fee waivers is Monday, December 1, 2025.
  • If selected for an application fee waiver, we will contact you with further instructions.
