We're looking for volunteers to join the ACPP Steering Committee, make plant labels, sort plants, distribute plants and supplies, and plant seedlings. Here are our key tasks:
Pre-sorting seedlings: These volunteers help label seedlings, pre-pull seedling orders, and organize for our seedling distribution days. We tentatively plan to do this work the week of April 17.
Distributing seedlings and supplies: These volunteers help our planting partners locate or gather their seedling orders (including tree stakes and shelters) and load them into their cars (some lifting may be involved). We hope to distribute seedlings on Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22.
Greeting/traffic control: These volunteers direct vehicles to maintain flow and safety during seedling pick-up times, tentatively scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22.
Supply staging: These volunteers help stage planting stakes and shelters for easy pickup by volunteers and planting partners (some lifting will be involved). We'll need this help during our distribution days, tentatively set for April 21 and 22, and also for some pre-staging some time during the week of April 17.
Floater: These volunteers are willing and able to jump in and lend a hand wherever needed (some lifting may be involved). We'll need your help on our distribution days, tentatively April 21 and 22.
Seedling planting: These volunteers help with seedling-planting projects throughout our community in the days and weeks following our distribution days. We'll be in touch to schedule these events.
