ClimaFacts Atlantic Volunteer Application: Writers (Scientific Interpreters)
Role Description:
Writers (Scientific Interpreters) will be responsible for summarizing scientific research related to climate change into concise, easy-to-understand blog- or news- type articles. This position involves searching for relevant scientific journal articles, identifying key information, and then producing a well written and jargon-free summary. Background information may need to be provided in the summaries depending on the depth of the research. Templates and detailed instructions on how to complete the summaries will be provided to writers.

Role Requirements:
-Experience with scientific literature
-Enrollment in appropriate bachelor or graduate programs in scientific (or science - related) fields is required
-Research experience in relevant fields is a plus, but not required
-Ability to write articles consistent with proper grammar, spelling, flow, and schematics 
-Experience and familiarity with research happening in Atlantic Canada is a plus, but not required
