Supporting new scientific ocean drilling proposals led by Australian and New Zealand (ANZIC) scientists or in ANZIC waters

This survey's objective is to collate information to assist the ANZIC Science Committee and the ANZIC Office to support its community in preparing and submitting new or resurrected proposals for scientific ocean drilling, including proposals where site-survey data still needs to be collected. You are also welcome to submit your drilling ideas that are not yet developed, and we will try and connect you with collaborators, projects or provide a workshop to develop the idea further.

This survey is open to [1] anyone in Australian or New Zealand who is thinking about a drilling project in any ocean, or [2] international collaborators who are thinking about drilling projects in ANZIC waters. We are also welcoming ICDP proposal and ideas.

All individuals within the ANZIC Science Committee and Office will not disclose or disseminate proposal contents, including the related site characterisation data, or discuss the proposal outside the context of their role within ANZIC. This data will only be used by ANZIC to support your proposal development, directing the ANZIC Office resources and to identify ANZIC champions for any forthcoming international meetings for the IODP Flagship Initiatives.
