Application Due July 15
We are holding a FREE summer camp experience through Zoom with at-home activities that will not only give students training for High School Model United Nations conferences but also the skills and resources to start their own MUN club at their schools. Additionally, this year we will hold a virtual conference at the end of the summer. No experience required.
The program will start for students on July 13 and end August 14.
The time commitment is 1.5-2 hours per day, weekdays only
MUN:I will develop writing, research, debate, public speaking, and many other skills in a collaborative, lighthearted learning environment. We will create cohorts of 4-7 students that will be led by mentors from across the United States who are experienced in Model UN.
We are looking for 30-40 Indigenous high school students (rising first-years through rising seniors).
We require a Certificate of Indian Blood, an enrollment card, or any other proof of tribal enrollment. We will NOT accept DNA tests.
We require that you answer a series of questions that have a 50-word minimum, you must make every word count! Additionally, MUNI requires a peer recommendation that must be 200-400 words. The recommendation should speak to your character and why you’d be fitting for this program. Lastly, we will ask that you highlight three classes you’ve taken in school that you loved and your GPA, but we will not require transcripts.
