Wisconsin Stem Cell Roundtable (WiSCR) Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF)
Sponsored by the UW-Madison Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Center (SCRMC)
Goal of the WiSCR SURF Program
To pair a motivated, talented UW–Madison undergraduate student, who is in the first half of their undergraduate career and is interested in pursuing research in the stem cell sciences, with a graduate student or postdoctoral fellow mentor in one of the labs in the UW SCRMC. A select number of candidates will be invited for an interview and a chance to meet with the mentors. If admitted to the program, SURF will provide a stipend to the undergraduate student to help allay living expenses in the summer. The student will be expected to work with their mentor full-time for the duration of the program (10 weeks, May 23-July 29).
