Wondrous Stories Volunteer Recruitment Form
From the 17 – 20 March 2022, Motionhouse will be transforming Centenary Square in Birmingham into the stage for ‘Wondrous Stories’, an extraordinary large-scale production which will be the opening show of the Birmingham 2022 Festival produced by Outdoor Places Unusual Spaces (OPUS).

The show launches the six–month festival shining a global spotlight on creativity in the West Midlands that will run alongside Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Audiences will be able to attend seven performances of this spectacular, free event, which will bring together the people of Birmingham in a celebration of the wondrous stories from across the region. A giant aerial spectacle with a flying book, bicycles and a large globe, are just some of the thrilling elements that will wow the audience alongside incredible digital projections that will help set the scene for the show.

We are looking for a team of volunteers to get involved and help Motionhouse, the Producers (OPUS) and Production Company (JA Productions) deliver this amazing event. There will be 7 performances taking place between Thursday 17 – Sunday 20 March at 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

We need a great team of volunteers to assist with the following tasks:
Production support
Stewarding // meet and greet and speaking to members of the public about the show
Back of house support including stage management, costume support and artist liaison

Volunteer recruitment is open until 28th February.
