Take a look at the Horde3D engines resource manager (Follow the documentation to the code). What is one interesting observation you notice in their resource manager?

Look through the commercial and non-commercial engines. What are some things you find in common between the engines?

Find an engine on a 'game engine wiki' that is not active. Why did the engine die or otherwise not reach commercial success? (If it was not commercial, why did the open source project fail?)
