Please read the roles and responsibilities of the executive members below:
The president communicates with officers to ensure that they are meeting their responsibilities. The president also oversees the schedule of events and is empowered to appoint assistants for any and all fundraisers and projects. The president is responsible for establishing short- and long- term objectives and goals for QVWB, in addition to leading club meetings and networking with VWB and other organizations. (Time commitment: ~ 3-4h/week)
The marketing officer is responsible for overseeing members of the Promotion Committee. Together, the marketing officer and promotion committee will generate promotional content that will be shared on QVWB Instagram and Facebook pages. This content will provide information on events that QVWB will be running, will share the VWB mission and projects, document QVWB achievements, and generate fun content that everyone can participate in. (Time commitment: ~1-2h/week)
The outreach officer is responsible for overseeing members of the Outreach Committee as well as first and second year representatives. The role of the outreach officer is to collaborate with the Kingston Community, including reaching out to Queen's students, Queen's clubs, or local businesses and organizations, to try to spread the word about QVWB and our events, as well as to help see through the ideas for any events and fundraisers. (Time commitment: ~1-2h/week)
The events officer is responsible for overseeing members of the Events Committee. The role of the events officer is to work with members to generate event ideas, consider the feasibility of events, plan the event, and take on the required actions to see the event through and ensure it runs smoothly. (Time commitment: 1-2h/week)
The chief financial officer is responsible for overseeing the financial actions of QVWB. Specifically, this may involve tracking money flow and financial planning, analyzing the QVWB financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions, and optimizing feasibility of club events. Additionally, the chief financial officer will assist the events officer in overseeing members in the Events committee.(Time commitment: ~1-2h/week)
