Call for Programs
The Center City Kehillah and co-presenting organizations are pleased to announce the annual Philadelphia Tikkun Leil Shavuot, which will be held June 8-9 at University of the Arts, Gershman Hall. The multi-community event is unique to Center City and provides an opportunity to share your expertise and passion for Judaism with a wide audience. We welcome a variety of session proposals for every level of Jewish Learning and on wide-ranging topics of interest to our broad and diverse community. We also encourage different modalities - not everything needs to be a text study!

Please note that sessions need to be accessible to the diversity of Jewish practices in our community, and proposals that include technology, musical instruments, or writing are not the right fit for this event.

Because Shavuot begins on a Saturday night following Shabbat, the first session of the night will begin at 11:20 pm. If you are not available to teach at 11:20 pm or later, we regret that we will be unable to accommodate you as a teacher this year. If this applies to you, please consider emailing centercitykehillah@gmail.com so that we can look into other ways to involve you in the event.

We welcome first-time and returning teachers to this process. We have been thrilled by the response in the past to our call for proposals and encourage you to submit an idea this year whether or not you have taught in the past.

The Center City Kehillah is a network of communities representing the diversity of Jewish life in urban Philadelphia, in cooperation with and funded by the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.
Selection Process
After the proposal deadline on May 15, the event committee will convene to create a schedule of sessions, filling time slots from 11:20 pm - 4:50 am. The selection process will be based on teachers' availability and making sure that a diversity of topics and modalities will be represented in each time slot. We will do our best to accommodate as many proposals as possible.

The information you submit below reflects a proposal and does not guarantee selection. All speakers will be notified of their proposal status and time slots by May 28.

Please email centercitykehillah@gmail.com with any questions about the process.
