MMS Grade Six Chorus for 2020-2021 School Year
Marshwood Middle School Chorus is open to every student! We meet every day and learn how to sing and discover music from different time periods and often, different languages. Students who wish to participate in band and chorus simply rotate the classes every other day. Public concerts and festivals are performed at school, our district auditorium, UNH hockey rink, and even at Funtown/Splashtown. Our Choruses have earned consecutive Gold Awards for their outstanding performances in festivals and even earned a National Award for Community Engagement in 2019 for their exceptional work in and out of the classroom.
+WINTER 2020 Semester: We will be preparing for our three public concerts, celebrating our Veterans, Maine's Bicentennial, and exploring our theme, "Possibilites: This is Where I Belong", which will include special guests and activities, and work on composing our own original piece of music!
+SPRING 2021 Semester: We will be preparing for our three public concerts and studying new music that is designed around our theme, "Possibilities: This is Where I Belong", including exciting guest appearances, guest artists in the classroom and concerts, and the premiere performance of our original chorus piece!
