WHAT: A 4-week course where students will go through a few selected Arabic tafaseer, practice looking up vocabulary, and apply grammar and sarf to read the Arabic texts. The focus is on applying the mechanics of grammar and sarf in parsing through the text and not so much on finishing reading the tafseer. The course is interactive, requiring student participation.

FOR WHOM: This course is for students who have a basic to intermediate grammar understanding (Jumlah Fi'liyyah and Ismiyaah and their I'raab, Idhaafah, Mawsoof Sifah, Ism Mawsool, Ism Ishaarah, Pronouns, Huroof Jarr, Nasb, Naasibah, Jaazimah) and sarf (past, present, active, passive, Ism Faa'il, Ism Maf'ool, Masdar, Zharf and all its conjugations) and wish to read Arabic texts, in particular tafseer, with teacher support.

MATERIAL: Students will need to have Arabic Almanac app or access to Hans Wehr dictionary during the course. Students will be given the PDFs of the material. No homework will be given as all work will be done in class.
