– how to bridge the digital divide

What barriers do speakers of Indigenous Peoples' languages face in digital domains? How do we overcome these barriers? 

Join us in understanding the dependencies shaping the survival of Indigenous Peoples languages, and how to build a foundation to bridge the digital divide and establish favorable conditions for digital empowerment. The side event also aims to shed light on the role of youth in enhancing the functional usage of Indigenous Peoples languages, especially in the digital sphere.

The side event is being organized by The Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development (Norway), Canadian Commission for UNESCO and UNESCO as a part of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages.
