Summer School 2024 Registration is open NOW and closes at noon on May 24th!

All Summer School courses are run as asynchronous eLearning courses only. NO in-person options!

Students can only register for one (1) SS course.

SS courses run from July 3-30, 2024.

Teachers will be available online each day from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE that SS's compressed timeline means there is a 6-hour time commitment per day to achieve the Ministry's hours of instruction.

Registration for an eLearning summer school credit course will be processed through Guidance, using this form.  SWC can only register current SWC students.

The list of SS courses is NOT A GUARANTEE - courses could be filled or cancelled. Guidance teachers will reach out to students in the event of SS course capacity/cancellations.

If a student registers for SS, and the course requested is also on the student's Course Plan for next year, it will be removed and an alternate added. The expectation is that students who register for SS will earn the credit!

If you are a current SWC student who would like to register for an eLearning course in Summer School, please complete this form with a parent/guardian:

Expectations for  DSBN Summer School Students

There is a strict expectation for students to be available and engaged in the learning. Do not register if you are planning holidays, vacations, or have considerable employment commitments that will coincide with the course timelines.

It will be the responsibility of each student and their family to ensure that students are available for each day of learning (online with appropriate internet access.) Avoid registering if you cannot ensure you will be able to access the internet.

Signing up for summer school is a commitment. Students and their families are responsible to meet the time requirements and work through the learning tasks to earn the credit for the course.
