2019 Student Directed One Acts Director Application

Auditions will be on Wednesday, August 21 and Performance will be on THURSDAY, August 29 in the RMA. *please note, due to the unusual calendar for next school year--with Labor Day as the weekend One Acts normally take place-- our performance is two days earlier, on a Thursday evening*

All rising seniors may submit a proposal to direct even if you've had no directing experience.

In selecting your play, remember that Student Directed One Acts should be family friendly and cannot infringe on copyright laws. The run time for your one act must be 10 minutes or shorter. YOU must acquire your script and give a copy to Mrs. Dreiling. If you need access to the LFHS library of one act scripts, just ask Mrs. Dreiling.

There will be a directing workshop in August (tentatively 8/14) to discuss the craft of directing and improving their skills, as well as logistics for auditions and rehearsals (all directors must attend this workshop).

To be considered, you must fill out the form below and submit a copy of your proposed script (either hard copy or electronic) to Sara Dreiling (sdreiling@lfschools.net) by June 12, 2019.

You will be notified by email if your proposal has been accepted or if further information will be required.
