WSWSU & Wings Wednesday Programs @ TVES
Windham Southwest Supervisory Union and Wings is considering offering a full day enrichment program on Wednesdays to provide a safe space and environment for youth grades K-5 at Twin Valley Elementary School. The Wednesday program would potentially be offered following the hours of the regular school day (approximately 8:00-3:00) every Wednesday that school would typically be in session beginning September 23.
Students would engage in a variety of outdoor enrichment, physical and wellness activities and academic support. During the program, students would receive remote learning support and facilitation of synchronous remote learning.
Health and safety guidelines would be practiced throughout the program, just as during a regular school day (including, but not limited to: physical distancing, frequent hand washing, wearing facial coverings, etc).
Students participating in the Wednesday program would be assigned to a cohort and that cohort would not commingle with other cohorts throughout the duration of the program. Maintaining cohort integrity of the school day is priority, although cohorts may need to look different than the school day cohorts depending on the number of students registered for the program.
In order to make further decisions, we need to know how many people might be interested in participating in this program, should it be offered. Filling out this survey is not a commitment to attend. A formal registration with safety protocols clearly outlined will come later should the decision be made to offer this program. This is simply for the purpose of determining our families' needs as part of the planning process.
Please understand that at this point, the WSWSU and Wings full day Wednesday program is only an option being considered. Your participation in this survey is necessary to determine the needs of our families.
Please complete the survey by Monday, September 7.
