Activity and Camping Code of Conduct

As a participant of this activity, outing and/or camping experience with my den and/or pack I will try my best to:

1. Follow all youth protection guidelines and use the buddy system, always staying with my buddy. My buddy and I will let the adult leader know if we need to leave the activity, especially to use the restroom.

2. Follow all youth protection guidelines and always use two deep leadership. I will be current and up to date on my YPT training.

3. Follow all of the rules listed in the guide to safe scouting, youth protection, BALOO, safe swim afloat and other outdoor guides. I should have fun, but safety is my priority.

4. Wear my clean field uniform to and from activities with a scout or scout themed t-shirt under it, appropriate jeans, shorts or skort (leggings need to be covered by wearing shorts or a skort over them), close toed shoes and socks (depending on the activity). (Tan field uniform for adult leaders, volunteers, Den Chiefs and AOL scouts. Blue field uniform for registered cub scouts)

     · I understand that if I do not wear appropriate clothing or footwear for the activity I am doing, I will be asked to sit out and not participate.

5. I am going as part of my Den/Pack. We go together and stay together and leave together. I will check out with the adult leader in charge before I leave the activity.

6. Exhibit scouting behavior and follow the scout oath and law

7. Use my inside voice and not raise my voice to others. I will ask for help from other scouts, scouters, adults, volunteers, or Den Chiefs to get the attention of others, especially if someone isn’t hearing me.

8. Keep my hands, feet, body, and objects to myself.

   · I understand if I choose not to keep my body safe, I will be removed from the activity for quiet time or sent home.

9. Use walking feet at all times. I will not run unless an adult leader gives permission for a game or activity.

· I understand if I choose not to keep my body safe, I will be removed from the activity for quiet time or sent home.

10. I will ask for help serving my meals. I will do my best to eat everything I take. I will try hard not to waste food.

· I understand if I CHOOSE not to eat what I have taken, I will not be given dessert, special treats, candy, slushies and/or canteen time as those are privileges and awards that are earned.

11. Understand actions have consequences. I am responsible for my own actions and will accept the consequences for actions that are not safe or for not following the rules.

12. Support a safe environment by making sure all scouts (even my own child), scouters, adults, volunteers and Den Chiefs are safe and follow the rules.

13. Support a safe environment by enforcing the rules and consequences and supporting scouters, adults, volunteers and Den Chiefs who are enforcing the rules and following through with consequences, even if it’s my own child.
