Fueling bodies and minds is crucial regardless of where the learning occurs! Walker County Schools Child Nutrition Program will be offering a meal pickup option on Wednesdays from 10:00-11:30 for students who have chosen the Remote-learning option and also for students who have chosen the Traditional-learning option who will be remote-learning 3 days per week. Meals are free for all students, regardless of eligibility, through December.
An order form must be filled out for EACH student wanting to pick up meals. The form includes weekly meal pickup dates for an entire month. Meal bags will be available by pre-order only. Meals are free for all students, regardless of eligibility, through December. Please order by Friday at 4:00 PM for pick up on Wednesday.
*Meal bags for students who have chosen the Remote-learning option contain 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches.
*Meal bags for students who have chosen the Traditional-learning option who will be remote-learning 3 days per week will contain 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches.
Meals will be picked up at your child’s school from 10:00-11:30. You do not have to get out of your vehicle. The meals will be passed through the car window. Cold foods must be kept below 41°F. Foods that require reheating must be reheated to 165°F.
