Membership benefits

*     Scholarships: Awarded to members for professional training, education and to attend natural resource conferences. This includes both MACD Annual Convention and MACD Summer Conference AND other training opportunities outside of MACD that are applicable towards your role. 

*     Service Awards: In order to be eligible for the Administrative Staff or Technician of the Year award, the employee must have been a CDEM member for at least one year. The person nominating does not need to be a CDEM member. Service awards come with “Service Bucks” which can be used on any training related to your position.

*     Accessibility to our HR expert: Great for personnel questions, whether a District Manager or staff member. Board members may not use this service because it would be a conflict of interest. 

*     Group rate on employee name tags and identification badges

*     Poster Contest: State sponsor of the NACD Conservation Poster Contest for K-12 students. Cash prizes awarded to the top three winners in each category.

*     Annual MACD Conference Offerings: Educational programs, service awards, employee of the year awards and elections are provided by CDEM.

*     Networking: Opportunities to share information and learn from others through regional meetings and communications.

How and who can join?  It’s EASY! Membership is open to any Conservation District employee, board member and those that support our mission and want to help others in conservation.

Yearly dues is $35.00! Or better yet get a lifetime membership for $250.00. Dues run from October 1 to September 30 of each year.  Dues must be received no later than December 31st of each year for current employees. New employees can pay at any time during their first 60 days of service.
