2021 Experience Mount Vernon Annual Awards Nominations
Every year, Experience Mount Vernon takes time to honor businesses and individuals for their work, actions and accomplishments from the previous year. The Experience Mount Vernon Events Committee is fully committed to continuing this tradition.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2021 Annual Awards.

Nominations must be received no later than Monday, May 2, 2021.

One nomination in each category per registered investor email is accepted and investors are welcome to nominate themselves or their company. Nominations are kept confidential.

Small Business of the Year Award Nominee
2021 downtown business with 5 or fewer employees. In recognition of contributions to the vitality of downtown Mount Vernon, including excellent marketing, community involvement, special event planning and support.
Mid- Size Business of the Year Award Nominee
2021 downtown business with between 6-15 employees. In recognition of contributions to the vitality of downtown Mount Vernon, including excellent marketing, community involvement, special event planning and support.
Large Business of the Year Award Nominee
2021 downtown business with 16 or more employees. In recognition of contributions to the vitality of downtown Mount Vernon, including excellent marketing, community involvement, special event planning and support.
Community Pride Award Nominee
This award was instituted in order to honor a 2021 downtown  business or organization that has improved the overall physical aesthetic of downtown Mount Vernon through beautification efforts over the past year.
Non-Profit of the Year Award Nominee
This award is presented to a 2021 investor Non-Profit Organization who has gone above and beyond to serve Mount Vernon.  From expanding services or facilities, to innovation in their field, and all the ways in between, what Non-Profit deserves recognition from 2021?
Spirit of Heritage Award Nominee
The Spirit of Heritage Award is presented to the volunteer who has given significant amounts of time, energy, and leadership to improve the vitality of downtown Mount Vernon during the past year.
