All Ballet classes and exams are done in the Cecchetti Method of Ballet, with exposure to RAD Syllabi work from the vocation levels upwards.

HOPEFUL HOPPERS: (Age 3-5, Pre-School)

A creative play class involving basic ballet, large and small motor movements and basic anatomy education for young children intending more former ballet in later years. Focus is stimulating imagination, making learning fun, appreciating their bodies, basic social skills and a love for movement and dance!
Children turning 3 before June, are also allowed to join in, but must be fully potty trained.

PRIMARY: (Age 5-6, Gr R)

Also a basic intro to formal ballet, while still involving much imagination and fun, with the option of an internal exam if they dance 2x week.

TEST/GRADE 1-5: (Age 6-7 to 12, Gr 1 upwards)

Syllabi classes are for children aged 7-11, builds on the basic intro to formal ballet, still involving some imagination and fun, but with a stronger focus on discipline and technique, with the option of a Cecchetti exam.

Please note: As Ballet exams require a certain standard of work, classes twice a week is compulsory for students desiring to qualify for exams.

INTERMEDIATE FOUNDATION & UPWARDS: (Age 12/13+)

Vocational Cecchetti Exam Syllabus classes, including Pointe Work. Students at this level must be dedicated and willing to put in the work required at this examination level. This includes class 2-3x week adding up to at least 3.5 hrs per week. We strongly encourage these students to also enrol for the Dance Diversity class as we believe that exposure to other dance styles, will enhance their overall experience, but also their fitness, artistry and sense of performance while dancing.

DANCE DIVERSITY CLASS:

A class to expose our current dancers to as many dance styles as possible, rotating between styles as necessary. The idea behind this is exposure and gaining more well rounded dance experience.

This is optional for Ballet students Grade 1-4, but included in the fee (and strongly advised) for Grade 5 upwards.

DRESSCODE
Hopeful Hoppers: Any pastel pink Ballet attire with pink Ballet pumps.
Primary - Test 1: Pastel pink thin strap leotard and skirt, with pink Ballet pumps.
Grade 1 & up: Black thin strap leotard, with black skirt and pink Ballet pumps.
