Tipping Point Leonbergers Puppy Application
Choosing our puppy families is the beginning of a relationship, not just a one-time transaction. This form gives us a basic understanding of your needs and lifestyle and is a great opportunity for both parties to get a feel for the expectations on both sides: you (as the prospective puppy buyer) and us (as the breeder).

Warmly,
D'Nae Wilson

Pertinent information before you begin:

* Our puppies are $3,500.  This does not include any travel costs involved in picking up your puppy.  It DOES include your puppy's first set of vaccinations (or nomograph), deworming, microchip, AKC registration, one year paid membership to the Leonberger Club of America, "Puppy Bag" which includes a plethora of things, and a lifetime of support and availability for any questions or concerns.

* Our puppies go to their new homes between 8.5-9 weeks old.

*  We do not ship puppies as freight.  New owners must come pick up their puppy in person, whether driving or flying.  This is a great opportunity for you to meet us and our dogs and for us to meet you!

Puppy families can either drive round trip, or they can fly into Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport and rent a car to drive home with their puppy (puppies will be too large to fly in-cabin at 9 weeks and we will not put a puppy in cargo). In some cases, we may be able to arrange for meeting you in order to shorten your travel distance.

The drive home with your puppy is an excellent opportunity for new experiences (hotel, elevator, new people, pottying away from home).  Of course, you should take care to not potty your puppy in high-traffic areas along the trip (avoid rest areas and the grass immediately adjacent to the hotel).

* Our puppies are part of our family. We are here for each puppy for its entire life and are available for texts/emails/phone calls from our puppy families with questions, concerns, or celebrations for that same amount of time.

* It is important to us that you be a willing participant in conversations and updates about your puppy throughout his or her life. We will occasionally ask for updates and love it when our puppy families send us photos!

Do you understand that we will select the puppy for you and that matches will not be made until structure and temperament evaluations have taken place after the puppies are 7-8 weeks old? *
Our puppies go to their new homes the first Saturday after they turn 9 weeks old.  This is based on research showing puppies can experience a developmental fear period at 8 weeks of age.  Our goal is to send puppies home after this fear period passes so that the experience of going to their new home is a grand adventure, as opposed to a traumatic event.  Do you understand and agree? *
We do not ship puppies as freight so new owners must come get their puppy themselves, whether driving or flying.  This is a great opportunity for you to meet us and our dogs and for us to meet you.  Puppy families can either drive round trip, or they can fly into Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport and rent a car to drive home with their puppy (puppies will be too large to fly in-cabin and we will not put a puppy in cargo). The drive home with your puppy is an excellent opportunity for new experiences (hotel, elevator, new people, pottying on a leash).  Of course, you should take care to not potty your puppy in high-traffic areas along the trip (avoid rest areas and the grass immediately adjacent to the hotel). Do you understand and agree? *

Please provide names and email addresses of people who can verify your qualifications and lifestyle--such as the breeders of your present dogs, dog trainers, training partners, friends, and neighbors. We strongly prefer email contact so please try to get correct email addresses. If you presently have pets, your last reference must be your veterinarian.   *
