Special Olympics Kansas Unified Champion School 2021-22 Application
Grant funds will be provided to schools that participate in two forms:

1. Teacher/Coach Stipend ($500) will be distributed directly to the individual agreeing to run the program for the school upon completion of application below and verification by SOKS staff of planned activities (short phone or email conversation). This is available for new and current schools based on need and capped at the first 40 schools. We anticipate this will be limited to one per school. Stipends will be distributed in the fall.

2. School Stipend ($500-$2000) dependent on need and number of UCS components implemented in 2021-22 school year. First half of funding will be provided upfront and remainder will be distributed upon verified completion of components (Unified Sports, Inclusive Leadership and Whole School Engagement). School stipend is to be used towards supporting the Unified Champion School program at the school and can be used for uniforms, meals, supplies, facility rental, etc. Based on overall participation numbers this may only be available for new schools.

Contact Taylor Obersteadt at obersteadtt@ksso.org for further information on the school stipend amount.
