I will use my Chromebook for educational purposes. 

I will neither alter nor attempt to change, disable, or circumvent the management settings, content filters, or virus protection software on my Chromebook. 

I will not install or download software that is not approved by administration or teachers. 

I will take good care of my Chromebook and understand that I will be issued the same device each year. 

I will never leave my Chromebook unattended in an unsecured or unsupervised location. 

I will never leave my Chromebook in a vehicle.

I will be the sole user of the Chromebook and never loan it out to other individuals. 

I will know where my Chromebook is at all times. 

I will store my Chromebook in a safe place, such as my locked locker, when not in use (ex. Lunch or PE class). 

I will charge my Chromebook’s battery to full capacity each night. 

I will keep food and beverages away from my Chromebook since they may cause damage to the device.

I will not disassemble any part of my Chromebook or attempt any repairs. 

I will report any issues with the Chromebook to the Main Office.

I will protect my Chromebook by always carrying it in my district-issued carrying case to avoid damage and take all responsible precautions to prevent careless or intentional damage. 

I will not decorate (stickers, adhesives, drawings) or write on the Chromebook. 

I understand that the Chromebook I am issued is subject to inspection at any time without notice and remains the property of Voorheesville Central School District.

I will follow the policies outlined in the Chromebook Procedures and Information Handbook for Parents and Students and the Computer Use in Instruction Policy 4526, Internet Safety Policy 4526.1 both in and out of school. 

I agree to return the Chromebook, charger, and carrying case in good working condition at the end of 8th grade/12th grade. 

I agree to return the Chromebook to the District upon graduation, suspension, expulsion, enrollment termination or withdrawal from the District. 

I will accurately represent myself at all times while keeping further personal information such as my address or phone number private. 

I /we understand that Chromebooks are intended solely for educational use and that students are not permitted to download any digital content or applications not authorized by their teachers or approved by District administration. 

I/we understand that the District may require me to file a police report in the event of theft or vandalism. 

I/we understand my/our responsibilities with respect to the care and maintenance of the Chromebook. 

I/we understand that students will take their Chromebook home in the evenings for school-related use, however I/we understand that students must have their fully charged Chromebook in school everyday. 

I/we understand that when students use their school-issued Chromebook at home, I/we assume responsibility for the supervision and monitoring of internet activity. 

I/we understand that students must return their Chromebook in the condition in which it was received. 

I/we understand that I must report to the school administration any Chromebook problems or if it is damaged, lost or stolen. 

I/we understand that the District reserves the right to conduct unannounced inspections of student Chromebooks.
