Sponsors should be someone you respect, trust, and love, and someone who will be part of your life. Your sponsor will help guide you on your spiritual journey.

Your Sponsor must be a fully initiated member of the Catholic Church.

Sponsors must be at least 16 years old, and preferable not a parent of the Confirmand.

If not a member of IC, the sponsor must have a sponsor certificate sent from their parish showing that they are in good standing as a practicing Catholic.
