UCET Outstanding Coach of the Year - This award recognizes and honors an educational coach who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and coaching in implementing technology to support teachers to effectively use technology with students to
engage them in learning,
enhance learning with options that aren’t possible without the use of technology, and
extend learning in ways that relate to the student’s real world and effectively meet their unique needs. Nominee can be an educational technology coach, library technology, coach instructional coach, or curriculum coach. The one stipulation is that the nominee is not a PK-12 classroom teacher. They may have a teaching certificate, however their current position is not as a classroom teacher. One coach will be chosen from all nominations for the state.

Nominations close on Friday, January 31, 2025. The award winner will be announced Day 1 at the opening session of the UCET Conference on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
Selection criteria:
1. Required nomination materials are complete and submitted by deadline.
2. The nominee is not a PK-12 classroom teacher.
3. The nominee's work has had a significant positive impact on technology use in the nominee's educational community.
4. The nominee professionally supports teachers in creating and accomplishing goals aligned with the vision and expectations of the school and district through high-quality coaching practices including the use of technology and infusion of information and communications technology, and digital resources to engage students in learning.
5. The nominee effectively improves student outcomes through building the capacity of the educators to use best practices to meet and extend student needs with options that aren’t possible without the use of technology,
6. The nominee builds trusting relationships through clear communication that is non-threatening and objective.
7. The nominee effectively listens and communicates through asking probing and reflective questions.
8. The nominee can help teachers to analyze and utilize data to shift instructional decision making and practices.
9. The nominee understands the differences between elementary and secondary student development and elementary and secondary pedagogy.
10. The nominee's work reflects the mission and purpose of UCET.
