The Teen Library Council is committed to making the Library a great place for Teens! Our mission is to help the Library develop resources, services, & events to fulfill the needs & interests of Teens and to promote the Library to Teens & the community.  What we do…
• Promote the Library as a great place for Teens
• Strive to make the Library useful and appealing to Teens
• Help the community by teaching basic technology skills to older adults
• Plan special Teen Events

All Teens in 7th to 12th grade or home-schoolers ages 13 to 18 are eligible to apply. Members are selected by an application process. Candidates should have a STRONG desire to help their community and a LOVE of the Library.  Applicants with proven leadership skills and excellent attendance at previous Teen Library Council meetings will be given first consideration. Teens chosen to be on the Council receive verified volunteer hours for attending meetings and volunteering at events. All applicants will be considered, but spots are limited.

Teen Library Council Members must be able to meet the following requirements:
• Regularly attend Zoom meetings

The following are grounds for immediate dismissal from Teen Library Council:
• Missing more than 50% of the meetings and community service requirements per semester
• Receiving a written warning for violating Library policies
• Violating a principle of the Youth Library Behavior Policy
