We have regretfully decided that the MENZA conference which was to be held in Tauranga in October this year will be postponed until early 2022. We will be in touch with a new postponement date in the near future.

With the current lockdown measures, we are aware that these could extend for a number of weeks, or we could again go into lockdown at short notice. Even if we move to Level 2 restrictions later in September or early October, there are a number of constraints that would mean that we would have to limit the number of attendees and activities. Most importantly, we need to ensure that everyone is safe.


We apologise that we are unable to offer the opportunity to share your expertise this year and appreciate your time in preparing to present and attend the conference. We hope that you will be able to present at the conference in 2022. Once we have confirmed the new dates, we will email you with the confirmed details.


In lieu of the conference for 2021, we would like to offer some online workshops. If you would like to offer something online (as well as at the 2022 conference), we would love to still offer the opportunity for Music educators to benefit from your workshops and presentations.
