Descriptions of University-level staff positions:

- Department Head (performing or non-performing) -
This position serves on the KidPower Leadership Team with daily responsibilities as assigned within one of the Departments described in the next section. All performing leaders are required to participate in the full audition process and will be cast in the July production. Applicants are not expected to excel in all three areas of the musical theatre techniques but should show strength in at least one area. Out-of-town applicants must send a video of a prepared audition if unable to attend the scheduled audition (details will be communicated in a follow-up). *Performance opportunities are restricted to July Camp only.*

- Production Assistant (non-performing) -
This position is part of the backstage production team. This highly-effective Department works closely with the Stage Manager, Hailli Ridsdale, and the Production Manager, Chad Jung, to ensure that the logistics of Camp run smoothly for rehearsal and production. Placements include everything from costume/sound/lighting assistants to stage management assistants.

- Multimedia Assistant (non-performing) -
This position requires knowledge and pursuit of experience in video/film production and editing. This person will work hands-on with many departments - filming, editing, and working directly with students in a multimedia track.

- Public Relations + Marketing + Social Media Assistant (non-performing) -
This position is only open to those available for the entire summer (June 10-Aug. 2; Mon-Fri; 8a-5p, plus after-hours events). Assists the PR/Marketing Director, Kristen Thiebaud, in raising awareness for Kids Who Care and its productions. The position offers freedom to be creative through all social media platforms and the opportunity to gain valuable education in PR/Marketing in the non-profit community. Graphic design experience is a plus but not a must.

- Office Assistant + Arts Administration (non-performing) -
This position is only open to those available for the entire summer (June 10-Aug. 2; Mon-Fri; 8a-5p, plus after-hours events). Assists four of the full-time staff members with administrative tasks involving everything from development to simple accounting to reception to event preparation. Seeking a self-starter with a teachable spirit and an affable attitude. Preference given to candidates proficient in Microsoft Office. Must have strong critical thinking, multi-task management, and leadership skills.

- Development Assistant (non-performing) -
It is the Development/International Team's preference that the applicant be available for the entire summer (June 10-Aug. 2; Mon-Fri; 8a-5p, plus after-hours events). Assists the Development Team in helping the KidPower Development Department to achieve their financial goals; manages the delivery, organization, flow, and clean-up of daily lunch (one of the most lucrative fundraisers all summer); assists the International Department with data entry and communication to host families, presentations by our international delegations, and international activities management. Must have Microsoft Office experience, strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills, and must be confident leading ESL students. Excellent writing skills and bilingual fluidity is a plus but not a must.

- Assistant to the Executive Director (non-performing) -
This position is only open to those available for the entire summer (June 10-Aug. 2; Mon-Fri; 7:30a-5p, plus after-hours events). Personal assistant to Deborah Jung, Founder and Executive Director of Kids Who Care. Daily duties are related to the business operations of the company; including, but not limited to: managing phone calls, e-mails, and scheduling; interfacing with the business community; running errands; handling personal thank-yous, etc. Seeking a trustworthy, self-motivated, articulate individual with a teachable spirit that enjoys making phone calls, has impeccable business etiquette, and strong grammatical writing skills.

- Assistant to the Director (non-performing) -
It is preferable that the applicant is available for the entire summer (June 10-Aug. 2; Mon-Fri; 7:30a-9p, plus after-hours events), but exceptions can be made. Assists Deborah Jung, Director, with the Production side of her job. Daily duties include a wide range of Production support; including, but not limited to: script preparation, charting casting, blocking notation, etc. Is physically present in Director's rehearsals to retain detailed information and manage the seamless start-and-stop of blocking and staging. Must have a teachable spirit, positive temperament, and courage to provide critical information to the Director as needed. Seeking an individual that can be trusted with confidentiality, is highly organized, calm under pressure, and devoted to the success of the Director and the Production.
