Every 3 year old child is entitled to 15 hours of education per week during school term time.  This is available to the child once they have turned 3 years old. However, you can only access this as from the first school term after the child's 3rd birthday. 

So if your child is born 

* between January and March - then they can access a place as from the following April;

* between April and August - then they can access a place from the following September

* between September and December - then they can access a place from the following January. 

This is known as the "STANDARD OFFER - 15 HOURS". 

Ellen Wilkinson offers 28 places via morning sessions (8.30am-11.30am) and 28 places via afternoon sessions (12.30pm-3.30pm) under the Standard Offer - 15 Hours scheme. 

You can only attend mornings or afternoon sessions (not a mixture). 

Some children's parents may also qualify for additional hours, known as a "30 HOURS FUNDED" place. This funding is primarily aimed at Parent(s) who work and meet certain criteria as set by the Government. You can find out more about your eligibility for this type of place here www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.

PLEASE NOTE - There are a very limited number of 30 Hours Funded places at Ellen Wilkinson Primary School (8 places). These sessions run from 9am until 3pm - term time only. You can apply to the School's Nursery for a 30 Hour Funded place but you may have a better chance of getting a place through the School's Private Childcare Provider, known as "Little Ellies". Look at the school website for more details about Little Ellies. 

If you wish to apply to Ellen Wilkinson Primary School for a place under the 

1. Standard Offer - 15 Hours or

2. 30 Hours Funded scheme 

You can make an application to the School Nursery at any time before your child's 3rd birthday but we would ask that you do not apply for a place until the child has at least reached the age of 2.
